The Cantina dei Vini Tipici dell’Aretino is historically renowned for its importance in wine-growing, with references emerging in the texts of the Bishop of Arezzo where he spoke of “canonical churches with large lands of planted vines”. The ancient wine-making traditions have been enriched and enhanced over the years – this wine being a great example. A dry white with a good balance, known originally as “White Chianti”. Its colour is brilliant straw yellow with greenish reflections, and its bouquet fresh, fine and pleasantly fruity. Neutral, clean, fruity and acidic on the tongue with a slight aftertaste of bitter almonds. Excellent as an aperitif but also goes well with starters, stews, fresh cheeses and fish dishes.
