Pinot Grigio from Veneto is considered to be the most famous example of the varietal; the mountains are a powerful agricultural force, allowing the grapes to keep their high acidity making for a dryer and mineral white wine. Loved for its simplicity and lack of overpowering fruitiness, this is the quintessential Pinot Grigio. Bright pale yellow colour with golden reflections, and an intensely characteristic bouquet that isn’t overwhelming. On the tongue it is velvety, not too soft, harmonious and with a generous finish. Pairs beautifully with shellfish or excellent as a summer aperitif.
